Beach Park Design Build
Boulder, Colorado's Arts Commission wanted to revitalize Beach Park, and bring an interactive installment to the surrounding neighborhood. The Community Living Room serves as a gathering point for arts and community interaction in an underutilized public park. Construction was halted due to Covid-19, but the Arts Commission is still hopeful that this can be installed in the future.
Node Conditions
Some of the most crucial designs for this build are the joints where the framing pipes link. Three node conditions are to be fabricated and joined with a welded tongue insert to ensure accuracy and ease of connection.

Building Blocks
A temporary solution is necessary for the foundation. Custom formed concrete blocks are designed to stack to the necessary height of each individual leg. Steel cap plates tie the blocks together and provide a pivot point for the base nodes. Each leg will be set in place and welded once all angles are properly set.
